Will and Erin first met in a student government club during their freshman year at Boston College. They didn't talk much that first semester, and did not realize they were both Computer Science majors until the spring, when they began working through computer science problem sets, projects, and homework together. Those freshman-spring study sessions gave them plenty of time to get to know each other.

Summer came and went and soon they were back on campus for their sophomore year. Their coding partnership continued, and before long it grew into a real friendship. The friendship blossomed into something more somewhere between Logic & Computation and the themed pregames Erin's roommates would host. Late-night conversations sometimes lasted until 5 a.m. A class assignment brought them to the Gardner Museum, followed by barbecue, though whether that outing counted as a date was still up for debate.

Their actual first date came after Thanksgiving: sushi, A Star Is Born at AMC Boston Common, and a walk through the Common afterward, during which they refused to hold hands. By the time they came back to campus in January, they were inseparable. On January 24, they made it official.

From there it was off to the races, meeting each other's families and visiting one another. Will visited Rhode Island to meet Erin's mom and older brother. That summer found Erin in Boston and Will in Mexico City, where Erin came to visit for a week after they had been dating for about five months.

A visit to Nashville meant meeting Will's parents, too. Back at BC for junior fall, they spent their time cooking, watching movies, and hanging out with friends in Erin's apartment.

Erin spent the beginning of 2020 abroad in Prague. Will joined her over spring break, with a first stop together in Paris before heading to Prague. Soon after, COVID sent them both back home, Will to Nashville and Erin to Rhode Island. After getting used to spending so much of their time together, they found themselves unexpectedly apart.

After a few months at home, Will moved to Boston for the summer, renting a studio apartment from a friend. Erin spent plenty of time there with him, cooking and hanging out. Erin bought a road bike, Will helped her figure out drop handle bars, and they spent that summer in parks and on trails in New England. Soon enough, it was time to return to campus for their final year at BC.

Their senior year at BC was punctuated by weekends in Rhode Island, bike rides through the towns outside BC, and cooking more root vegetables than they thought possible thanks to the CSA subscription they shared — COVID made for a much more wholesome lifestyle than that of your traditional college senior.

Will accepted a job in Denver, and Erin took one in Boston. After graduation, they took a road trip out west, visiting national parks in Colorado, Wyoming, and Utah and camping along the way.

Together, they built a new life; weekends were spent camping and skiing and going to concerts, and they made lifelong friends over plenty of beers and board games. They found couple friends, hosted dinners, tried restaurants, joined run clubs, and became members of a brewery mug club.

They moved into their first apartment together in the summer of 2023. Between their jobs and a growing circle of friends, Denver was feeling more and more like home. In 2024, their family grew when they adopted Nellie, the best little fluffy cat!

By 2024, frequent travel to see family had them thinking about living closer. Will began looking for a new job, and Erin figured out how to make her job work with a move.

In April 2025, Will's new job and a desire to be closer to family brought them to New York. Nellie traded a big Denver apartment for pigeon watching in Brooklyn. Will and Erin settled into a faster pace of life, and reconnected with best friends from BC as they made a home in Williamsburg.

When they were back in Boston for a football-and-family weekend, Will proposed to Erin in the Boston Common on October 10, 2025, the same place they walked around after their first date nearly seven years prior.

That night, they celebrated with friends and family, some of whom had flown across the country to be with them. The celebration included Trillium Fenway, a place that had been meaningful to them during the pandemic.

Through all of these chapters, they have shared family milestones and loved having reasons to bring everyone together. They are so excited to begin their next chapter as husband and wife by celebrating with you in the neighborhood they now call home.
